Today is the day we have the honour of holding the wake of one of our original pieces of furniture Mike. For all that knew Mike, he was as stubborn as they come, our Mr Grumpy when he wanted to be but loved coming to us with Shirley and Millie and winding everyone up with his sharp comments and that look on his face and of course his Man Utd tops. Mike fought a brave fight until the very end. Sleep tight Mike and I'm sure you'll be looking down today, pint in hand with a smile on your face. Sending love to Shirley and all of the familyq

Thank you for your patience over the last 2 days...the conservatory roof/panelling has now been replaced and we are back to normal.. Apparently the panels are heat reflective so goodbye greenhouse vibes 🥵🫠

We are finally having the conservatory roof fixed/replaced this week so unfortunately it is out of use until it's finished. There is also no access to the pub from the beer garden entrance, please use the front or side door. We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience and thankfully the weather has changed so the beer garden is not needed this week 😉

I have a message for all of the wonderful people who donated their money including the staff from Shirley Shirley has asked me to pass across her heartfelt thanks for the money that was collected for her, she is totally overwhelmed with the love and support that you have all shown since she lost Mike. Shirley is taking one day at a time and when she feels up to it she is going to come across to the pub to see everyone. Sending lots of love to Shirley and the Family
