Firstly can I apologise for not putting a post up sooner about some work we are doing under the canopy area... Today we started a job that we thought would have been done in a few hours but as usual luck wasn't on our side 😕 we've bought a lovely new sealer to protect the flagstones but it didn't work so now have to apply another one...this one will be done early tomorrow morning but needs at least 24 hours to dry so the canopy can't be used at all tomorrow. Again, please accept our apologies but finger's crossed it will all be worth it in the end At least it's staying warm so may dry quicker

Some good news for you all... The main part of the carpet has been fitted and we are just about to get the tables back in place so we should be able to open the kitchen from 3pm today...we will cook all the way through to 8.30pm today Thanks for the patience everyone xx

A quick update everyone... Carpet fitters are here and doing a fab job so far but we will not be open for food this evening as the carpet is not being fitted today. As before, the lounge and conservatory area will not be open as we need to keep it clear ready for tomorrow when the next part of the lounge is done. I will update tomorrow when we are likely to be open and back to looking after everyone. Don't forget that for all 11am kick off matches with the Lions Tour, we will be doing breakfast and a selected drink for £9.99... Tickets are selling for our live music event on the 9th August, so please come and secure yours. Cash only please..

Good morning all.. I'm asking a big favour please 🙏 can you share this post... It has been confirmed that we will be having our new carpet fitted tomorrow and possibly Thursday morning too so our kitchen/lounge/conservatory area will be closed while they complete the work. We have tried to do a work around to keep business as normal but we have no safe way to get the food from the kitchen to the bar area. The only access to the pub will be through our side door directly into the bar area, the lounge will be closed off completely as we believe the floor underneath needs a bit of work before the new carpet can be laid. The Bar is open on both days and we will be serving drinks from 12. As always, I will keep you updated if the work gets done sooner than planned Sorry for any inconvenience and Thank you for your understanding Jo, Craig and The Team
